Common Ground
Common Ground is not an artist, but rather a collective of artists

Elison Jackson are uncanny. You may find them among the old tin sorrows of New England, or the back pages of a penny dreadful. But there's an unfamiliar aspect to them that Bucks the conventions of Americana. They are the electric sons of alt-country, giving voice to modern folk tales in an ergotic wash of gritty guitars, dexterous drums, and electronic tinges. The inhabitants of these stories are spectres, psychedelics, crooked reverends, tragic actresses, and other such elements from America's thorny underbelly. It's a celebration of our darkest corners and the hopeful souls who live there.

Hailing from New Haven Connecticut, and based around singer-songwriter Sam Perduta, Elison Jackson have made their mark from Vermont to New Orleans through a fevered DIY ethic. Expanding to a five-piece psych-folk-prog outfit, they've cast an ever wider net since the release of their first record, Spectral Evidence, in 2011. Four years and four records later they are a mainstay in the northeast scene, acquiring a 'Connecticut Music Award' for 'Song of the Year' in 2014 and receiving similar regard throughout the region, landing regularly on 'best of' lists while cultivating a unique and dedicated fan base.
