Sixteen Jackies

Sixteen Jackies

Monogold, Stereo League

Sun 4/8

8:30 pm

$8.00 - $10.00

Monogold crafts lush, dreamy psych-pop that's drawn comparisons to bands like Animal Collective and Yeasayer. Their new EP "This Bloom" (Nov 2014) is simultaneously hypnotic and energized, mixing frenzied rhythms and pop hooks with sleepy, serene soundscapes. Lead singer Keith Kelly's shimmering, etherial vocals float above swirling layers of instrumentation to invite listeners into the band's hazy dreamworld.

Over the past few years, Monogold has shared stages with acts like ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead, Hot Hot Heat, YACHT, TV on the Radio's Kyp Malone, Hooray For Earth and Bear Hands.
