Rosu Lup
"Backed by strings and light orchestrations, the core trio blends beautiful Americana-esque harmonies with the powerful elegance of cello, violins, and a bit of trumpet. Rosu Lup's dynamic orchestrations stitch together a variety of thoughts and sounds seamlessly. I'm not one to catch too many trends before they happen, but this is definitely a band you should keep your ears on." (Elizabeth Mazenko, WXPN|The Key)

Rosu Lup has achieved a sound that's "wholly Rosu-Lupien". Described as "chamber-folk", the band blends orchestral arrangements with harmonies, percussive drumming, and ethereal guitars.
The Lunar Year
Francesca Blanchard
Francesca’s early years were spent in the south of France, where she was raised in a bilingual household by her French father and American mother. With parents who worked in humanitarian aid, Francesca and her siblings spent their childhood traveling the world, an eccentric lifestyle that lead them to live in places like Ethiopia and Burundi. Upon moving to VT with her family at the age of 10, Francesca found a new and grounding home for herself in the arts...

Over the next few years, Francesca took to acting and singing, performing in school plays and writing songs on her mother’s guitar. At 18, Francesca independently released an EP, "Songs On an Ovation", featuring songs in French and English. After graduating from Boston University in 2015 with a BFA in Acting, Francesca released her debut album, deux visions. The album (which translates from French to “two visions”, and plays on the English word “divisions”) featured original songs in French and English and was roundly praised by local and international media. The Vermont daily The Times Argus enthused, "Deux visions shines on the strength of Blanchard’s accomplished compositions, tasteful guitar work and gorgeous vocals. A seamless mix of folk, jazz and roots-rock with some French chanson thrown in for good measure. The most ambitious and impressive debut album to come out of Vermont since Grace Potter.” What followed the release of her debut was extensive touring in North America and Europe, headlining her own shows and opening for the likes of Joan Armatrading, Suzanne Vega, Lucy Dacus, JOSEPH, Caravan Palace, the Von Trapps, Yuna and Lissie, among others. She performed at the prestigious FrancoFolies Festival of Montreal in 2013 and 2015, the Calgary Folk Festival in 2016 and was presented by tastemaker outlets such as Daytrotter, Sofar and WFUV Radio.

Following an intense year of touring, Francesca spent the first half of 2017 backpacking and trekking through North America’s West Coast and Ecuador, where she chose to extend her stay to volunteer as a music and theatre teacher for children of low-income families. During this period, she released the single “My Heart.”

Having found solace in the mountains, Francesca’s musical identity shifted. She moved from French-American folk to indie-pop. She dove into more self-effacing, complex explorations of the human psyche, and started tapping into her acting background to more effectively illustrate both the grandiose and trivial nature of her favorite topic: Heartbreak (and what comes after). Re-defined production and a self-imparted responsibility to have a little more fun propel Blanchard in a fresh and unpredictable direction. Her revised approach has already led to new milestones. In October 2017, Francesca’s single “Free” was featured prominently in a pivotal closing scene on the ABC TV series Grey’s Anatomy. In January 2018, Francesca released her single “Maria,” a song she wrote for a benefit concert to aid Puerto Rico in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. A love song "from the point of view of an island, to a woman named Maria,” proceeds from the single were donated to hurricane relief efforts.

Francesca is currently finishing the production of her second album, which she plans to release in 2019.
